"Que Chimba is a casual, little Colombian restaurant near Seven Sisters that’s very into exclamation marks. Three follow its name on the sign outside, and two follow the extremely beefy potato ripio ‘vacana’ on the menu of two-hands-required burgers and tortilla para picar nibbles. Really though, the item that deserves a flurry of hot-gossip-incoming exclamation marks is the cholado—a crushed ice drink-dessert hybrid packed full of fresh fruit, cream, coconut, and more things that will make your brain shout ‘get me to a beach’. Even at peak times, the dining area tends to be pretty dead, so our game plan is to pick up a cholado and the tender, gently spiced mixed meat arepa—complete with crisp, micro-shoestring fries—for one of Downhill Park’s best picnics. video credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley video credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley Pause Unmute Food Rundown Cholado Drink, dessert, prolific reason to ignore any mild lactose intolerance—this cholado laughs in the face of the common trifle. With each sip and scoop of the wafer that operates as your spoon, you’ll discover a new layer of mango, jelly-like strawberries, and a final slurp of fruit-infused condensed milk. The sweet treat that just keeps on giving. photo credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley" - Heidi Lauth Beasley
