Ume - Review - Williamsburg - New York - The Infatuation

"This is a quiet, minimalist sushi place in Williamsburg where you sit on a cushion instead of a chair, and the only menu option is a $55 DIY omakase. It comes with about 12 different kinds of fish, along with some nori, sushi rice, and a few different types of salt - and you use all of this to assemble your meal. Depending on how skilled you are, you might wind up with something similar to what a high-end spot would serve - or just some decent-tasting sushi that doesn’t look that great. Either way, you'll have fun. The omakase isn’t incredibly filling, but if you’re looking for a unique dining experience, this is a good option." - Bryan Kim
