"Thanks to Tano, there’s a near-guarantee of a line at Paper Son in SoMa an hour before doors open. This pop-up bakery makes delicious Asian pastries that aren't available anywhere else in the city. Korean-style salt bread verges on exploding with ube cream, paper-thin choux balloons with hojicha-infused cream, and a salted egg focaccia has a slight kick. Tano is only open Wednesday through Friday, so we suggest putting a recurring morning block on your calendar to improve your odds of scoring a good position in line. (Showing up at least an hour before opening is the best move.)
