"We promise we’ll get to the wine in a second, but the first thing you should know about Room For Friends is the flights. Not the wine flights—the Cheez-It and Oreo flights. This midwestern through-and-through spot prioritizes proper snacking in the form of a sampling of four of the finest Cheez-It and Oreo varieties, bacon cheeseballs with Ritz crackers, and chicken ranch wraps. The salty crackers, especially, pair beautifully with most of the well-priced wines, which include some pretty out-there glasses (definitely try the smoky South African Barista Pinotage) and more familiar varietals.
