Gott’s Roadside Review - Embarcadero - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The Ferry Building Farmers Market is one of our favorite reasons to go to the Embarcadero over the weekend. You can max out on free samples of fresh fruit, or surround yourself by strollers that have more functions than a mountain bike built for James Bond. But you can only eat so many pluot slices before you realize that you actually want a full meal. So head to Gott’s Roadside. Gott’s is the rare burger spot where everything they have feels like a first-choice order. The burgers are the main reason to come here—the regular ones are great, but you can also get toppings like kimchi and BBQ sauce, and they all come on an egg bun. We’ll sometimes trade beef out for the tuna burger on days when we feel like we haven’t seen the ocean enough. But the salads are also fantastic, and the garlic fries have the full effect of going to a Giants game, minus the potential sunburn and/or frostbite. photo credit: Hardy Wilson Even if you’re full from grazing through the market, having a few drinks on their patio out front is reason enough to come here on a nice day. Aside from buckets of PBR, Gott’s also has a bunch of local beers on tap, and their wine list is better than some nice sit-down spots that we’ve gone on unsuccessful first dates at. Whatever you get, you’ll have a good time sitting at a picnic table while trying to figure out what you’re going to make with the eight pounds of parsnips and rutabagas you just bought at the farmers market. Food Rundown California Burger You can’t go wrong when you put bacon, balsamic onions, and a fried egg together. And on top of all that, this burger also comes with melty Cowgirl Creamery Wagon Wheel cheese. The California Burger will put your pluot slices to shame, while giving you a good reason to come back next week. Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos If you want something lighter, this is a great option. The tacos are made with a shell that stays nice and crisp while holding the marinated ahi and spicy mayo. Garlic Fries These garlic fries are about as good as what you’d get at Oracle Park. Always get some on the side." - Team Infatuation
