Grand Canyon Diner

"Though its awning reads “home of the 8oz burger,” we come to this vaguely Southwestern diner in Park Slope for saucy chicken caesar wraps, and for the Mexican breakfast section of the menu. You’ll find a towering breakfast torta, and chilaquiles smothered in red or green salsa, topped with egg and avocado. Round out your order with a stack of chocolate chip pancakes for a serious Saturday spread. People tend to linger here—you might see a group of millennials drinking mimosas and eating eggs, or someone watching videos on their iPad with two grilled cheeses and a chocolate milkshake as company. photo credit: Willa Moore Food Rundown Chilaquiles Two eggs any style is never a bad choice, but two eggs any style on top of a mountain of crispy-gone-soggy chips in green salsa is better. We hope that makes sense. Chicken Caesar Wrap Sometimes, diner chicken caesar wraps are grilled chicken and lettuce and not a speck of sauce. Not this one. This one is so saucy it drips. In a good way. With crispy fries to balance all the drip. Chocolate Chip Pancakes Crispy, frilly edges and a soft middle, loaded with molten lava chocolate chips. These should be ordered to share every single time." - Willa Moore
