"Among the quiet streets and craftsman houses of Mission Hills is the tiny-but-mighty Wolf in the Woods, a New Mexican restaurant with signature Southwestern charm. Ristras of dried chiles dangle like feather boas, while the combination of twig arrangements and lit candles makes us briefly consider (and then disregard) the fire hazard of it all. With a menu full of tomato, corn, and hatch chile, the New Mexican influence isn’t relegated to the decor.
