Maruwu Seicha

Tea store · Japantown

"Located near the west entrance of the Japantown Mall, Maruwu Seicha is all about Japanese teas. Anything that’s edible, potable, or frozen has been touched by tea, even the air. As soon as you take the short walk from the mall entrance, you’ll get whiffs of the tea-based drinks and baked cheese tarts flavored with matcha. We recommend trying a mix of everything, as long as it includes something (or somethings) with Maruwu Seicha’s specialty Hokkaido milk, like the soft serve lattes. Ordering is slightly confusing: there are two unmarked lines for a self-serve kiosk and another to speak to a human. If you get lost, just ask one of your neighboring tea enthusiasts for some help with the queues. While there’s no seating, you can find up-for-grab chairs and tables scattered around the mall." - Patrick Wong
