Tsumo Review - Kips Bay - New York - The Infatuation
"A night at Tsumo in Kips Bay can feel similar to most of the budget-friendly omakase spots in the city—they charge a pretty low $58 for the whole experience. After waiting in a room that’s dressed in a bamboo and Japanese wood joinery facade, you’ll be brought into a room with two 12-seat sushi bars, which is pretty different from the tiny, 8-12 seat shoebox counters you usually see at under-$100 omakase spots in the city. Over a short-feeling hour, they serve 12 pieces of nigiri garnished with things like fried shallots and a pickled yuzu condiment, and a toro hand roll.
