"At Molly’s in Gramercy, the wooden booths creak, the tables are carved with names of past customers, and the lack of natural light is offset by a fireplace and a few stained glass lamps. The place feels ancient, and that’s because it’s been around in some form since the late 19th century (under new management since 1991). It’s one of the most charming Irish pubs in NYC, and the food is half the reason why you come. There’s a bar by the entrance, with some standing room and a couple of booths, as well as a small dining room in the back where you can sit down for some shepherd’s pie or a hefty burger with a side of greasy onion rings. Try the spice bag. It’ll help soak up your Smithwick’s. A very beefy burger.
