"Lucky Santo is a counter-service restaurant that has a gluten-free, dairy-free, grain-free, legume-free, soy-free, canola oil-free, refined sugar-free menu. What’s left after that is really just meat, vegetables, and fruit disguised as things like chicken pho with zucchini noodles and sweet potato falafel with coconut cassava flatbread. While we really like the sweets (get the chaga brownie with a smoothie for a midday snack), the main dishes taste like they’re void of all signs of life. The chicken pho has raw spiralized zoodles instead of rice noodles, and it’s certainly healthy, but it’s the kind of soup that makes you hungry after five minutes. And, an otherwise-tasty chicken liver bolognese sauce is no longer comforting when it’s paired with undercooked strips of celery root instead of noodles. If you’re truly allergic to all of the things that make food good, you’ll be happy here, and we’re glad that there’s plenty of options for you. But if you’re just trying to “eat lighter,” allow us to direct you to our Kind-Of-Healthy Dinner Guide." - Aimee Rizzo
