"Bars that serve good food are a wonderful thing, and that’s why we really like Tricycle in Wicker Park. This spot definitely feels more like a Chicago bar than a restaurant, mainly because the bar itself dominates the space. But it also has a long food menu with a wide range of options that taste really good. You’ll find bacon-wrapped dates, roasted cauliflower with a fantastic curry sauce, and a deconstructed chicken pot pie. In other words, this place is a good reason to hit up a neighborhood bar for dinner." - Adrian Kane

Spiaggia

Italian restaurant · Gold Coast

"We’ve made the difficult decision not to re-open Spiaggia and Café Spiaggia. We were very much looking forward to welcoming back our family and guests. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in our efforts to restructure our lease, which was necessary to reflect the realities of operating a restaurant in an office building, post-pandemic. It’s been an incredible journey, and we are beyond proud of, and grateful for, 37 remarkable years. From the moment we envisioned the restaurants, our passion has been to elevate fine dining Italian cuisine. The endless number of special occasions, the most passionate staff and the amazing talent still delighting guests around the country, will remind us that Spiaggia and Café Spiaggia will live forever."
