A (Brief) History Of London’s Best Snacks

"Bilog - £6.50 If you think that that ice cream-stuffed pastries need a time and a place, then you’re wrong. A rainy Sunday was the setting the first time we tried a bilog (a hot milk bun filled with ice-cream) from Mamasons - a Filipino dessert shop in Chinatown - and it was absolutely perfect. We went for Milo (yes, the chocolate powder) but there are plenty of flavours, including ube, and queso." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
