"Señor Sisig at Thrive City is a carbon copy of the others around the Bay. You’ll find the same great Filipino-inspired burritos stuffed with their trademark charred meat and garlic rice. Our standby is always the Señor Sisig burrito, ordered spicy, with pork. The burritos are filling enough on their own, but if you have the stomach space, the sinigang wings (made in collaboration with P-Lo) should be next on your list. They’re fried to order, so you might have to wait a bit, but there are plenty of TVs to keep you occupied. There’s almost no bad seat—all appropriately blue and yellow stools—to see any of the screens, so keep this spot in mind when you need somewhere to catch the game. And if you need some alone time with something tortilla-wrapped, you can almost guarantee the entire place to yourself if there’s no event going on at the Chase Center. Food Rundown The Señor Sisig Burrito This should be everyone’s standard order. The pork is consistently juicy and tender (the chicken is also masterfully cooked), and the garlic rice is sharp with just a little chew. From time to time, the cilantro cream can be too heavy or the ingredients unevenly distributed, but this will always be our go-to. The California Burrito with fries instead of rice is a great alternative. photo credit: Patrick Wong Sinigang Wings We love the thin and crispy coating on the outside that’s tangy with a bit of heat thanks to tamarind and fresno peppers seasoning. Just make sure you give each wing a healthy pour of the accompanying spicy tamarind sauce. If there’s any sauce leftover, we like asking for a side of chips to finish it off. photo credit: Patrick Wong" - Patrick Wong
