"Aura On The Lake is easily the best place for a meal on the lakefront. Unsurprising, considering this walk-in-only beach bar and cafe is from the team behind Uvae, one of our favorite spots in Andersonville. A large part of Aura’s charm is being able to eat right on Kathy Osterman Beach, which means minimal travel between taking dips in the lake and enjoying well-made beachy food like delicately battered fish tacos, surprisingly light pork quesadillas, and a variety of other seafood dishes. Or, settle in for some live music with a cocktail and the smoky and juicy signature burger (thanks to a generous helping of bacon aioli, caramelized onions, and ultra-gooey truffle cheese)—it’s exactly what you want after building a sandcastle megalopolis and deciding that’s all the energy you’re going to exert for the day." - Veda Kilaru
