"Aviva By Kameel, a Mediterranean restaurant in Midtown’s CODA Collective Food Hall, is the place to go when you want a quick cafeteria-style lunch that feels like it came from a fresh-to-order sit-down. Everything is cooked in olive oil, so even heavier dishes like the halal rosemary chicken or herby salmon taste light. Yet, all the entrees on the cafeteria line are packed with big flavors. The baked chicken is sprinkled with rosemary and served alongside bright yellow, red, and green peppers. The tender chicken shawarma is cooked with onions and savory spices and then wrapped in soft, pillowy flatbread. And the creamy three-cheese chicken soup is one of the best orders here. Each meal comes with your choice of two sides. We suggest the well-seasoned, sautéed vegetables or thick, earthy lentils to round things out. Food Rundown Lentils These thick, earthy lentils are hearty enough to stand alone as a meal—just add a side of cushy pita bread. Rosemary Chicken A menu standout, the baked rosemary chicken is tender and infused with a blend of 12 spices that seep deep into the meat. Chicken Shawarma Thinly sliced, tender chicken breasts are grilled with onions and Turkish spices like paprika and cumin, then wrapped in soft pita bread.
