"Napa has quite a few squint-and-you-could-be-in-Europe kinds of wineries and restaurants, like Angèle, which gets high marks. They re-create a French countryside setting by the waterfront—complete with a vibrant yellow facade, greenery for privacy, and umbrellas—without going overboard. The more traditional-leaning French menu complements the space, highlighting dishes like escargot and boeuf bourguignon, along with Americanized favorites like a hot dog baked in puff pastry and served with cornichons. Whatever you order, add a side of fries, which are delightfully presented in a terracotta flower pot. Angèle is an excellent spot for lunch with friends in the warmer months and a romantic rendezvous when the temperatures dip." - Jasmine Alexandra
