Nagomiya

"If Nagomiya’s logo font looks a little familiar, it’s because this Midtown izakaya is run by the owners of the Wagaya sushi restaurants. And you’ll find a similar menu with Japanese small plates, decent ramen, and lots of solid sushi options. But Nagomiya is where we prefer to go for solo lunches and special date nights. Draw the yellow curtain to close off your private dining booth, and it might as well be one of those romantic, dimly lit wine cellar setups. Now prying eyes can’t judge you for eating your giant lobster tempura rolls with a fork. And a button discreetly summons the wait staff when you want to add more to your order." - Nina Reeder
