"If you’ve ever seen a queue around Notting Hill’s Uxbridge Street, chances are it’s for Eggbreak. Just know this popular brunch spot is bigger than it looks. As well as the main ground floor, there’s a basement where bigger groups disappear for hours. Group or not, once you do get in, you’ll want to settle. Mostly because you waited for the table, but also thanks to the menu of silky-looking eggs hidden under melted cheese and spicy mayo, fried chicken buns, and excellent crispy-edged Nutella french toast. photo credit: Rianne Shlebak photo credit: Rianne Shlebak video credit: Rianne Shlebak Pause Unmute It’s the kind of indulgent stuff you crave on a weekend when you’ve unintentionally entered a vegetable vendetta, or you just refuse to fry an egg at home. Our go-to order is the chicken burger with a runny, fried egg on top, the B.E.C stack (except we’d swap the bacon for BBQ pulled lamb), and the french toast. Don’t be put off by the way-too-long queue, instead join the virtual line and get a coffee at Kuro while you wait. Food Rundown The Eggbreak Sweet ’N’ Spicy Chicken Sandwich This is a chicken burger disguised as a brunch dish. And we’re all for it. The fried chicken has a nice crispy coating that’s drenched in a sweet and spicy scotch bonnet jam. It’s then topped off with a fried egg, runny of course. This is an excellent sandwich, 10am or 2pm. PlayMute video credit: Rianne Shlebak B.E.C Stack We switched the sausage and bacon for BBQ lamb and turkey bacon on top of the shokupan bread which makes for an incredibly moreish, satisfying meal. photo credit: Rianne Shlebak Nutella French Toast Crunchy cornflake edges and the perfect amount of Nutella oozing out of each slice. Don’t leave without trying this. PlayMute video credit: Rianne Shlebak" - Rianne Shlebak
