The 12 Best Breweries In The Hudson Valley & The Catskills 2024

"Spread out on an old hop house farm in Schoharie, Wayward Lane seemingly came out of nowhere when they won the New York Brewery of the Year award in 2023. How did they pull it off? By brewing consistent hit after hit, with crowd favorites plus some more experimental styles. You can pull up to the taproom and enjoy a crisp, easy-drinking pilsner like Sanson or Foment or one of their many hazy IPAs, while also expanding your palate with a 12% stout called Hunk or a berliner sour like Merlin in Berlin. The taproom is usually playing ‘90s hip hop, so if that’s not your style, venture out to explore the farmland or sit in the barn where you can sometimes catch a local band. Wherever you land, definitely get some fried dumplings from the food truck before they sell out. " - keith hernandez
