"Jahn’s used to be Jahn’s Ice Cream Parlor, an iconic dairy establishment that first opened in 1897 in the Bronx, before spreading all over New York, and as far as New Jersey and Florida. Their only remaining location is in Jackson Heights, and though they’ve dropped the ice cream from their name and have a full menu of classic diner food, the ice cream should still be the main event. There’s a whole menu page devoted to dessert, including a sundae that serves eight called “The Kitchen Sink,” which no server can fully explain except that it’s really good, and really large. Grab a red leather booth, or a seat at the counter under the extremely charming custom light fixtures, and order a turkey club as a sundae pregame. photo credit: Willa Moore" - Willa Moore
