Tre Scalini

Italian restaurant · East Passyunk Crossing

"Tre Scalini is a small Italian BYOB on East Passyunk that’s often overshadowed by the more popular places right around it, but it’s worth coming here for a date night or just a casual weeknight dinner with a few friends. It's especially true during the summer, when they set up a bunch of tables on the sidewalk out front. They go super fast on nice nights but, if you call ahead, you can sometimes get them to hold one for you. If not, it’s still usually not too bad of a wait, and you only have a few months to take advantage of eating outside anyways - so just suck it up and stare down the guy who’s nursing the last few sips of his glass of pinot grigio until he finally abandons his post." - Sydney McElwee
