"Gao’s Kabob is located off Wentworth on a quiet side street, but this BYOB Chinese BBQ spot is one of the most exciting places to eat in Chinatown. Even on a Monday, it starts getting busy around 8 or 9pm. That’s when groups file in and chatter and music from Chinese variety TV shows fill the bright narrow space. Bottles and six-packs circulate while skewers of garlicky fried intestines and spicy grilled lamb land at each table. This continues until close (1:30am every day). Gao’s Kabob works best as a late-night group hang, so if you want to eat their well-seasoned skewers in relative peace, plan an earlier visit. " - John Ringor
