"The former Spring Branch cocktail den has been resurrected in Montrose, sharing a space with daytime teahouse Emma Jane. Lit by candles and soaring chandeliers, the new digs are moodier and cozier, but the drinks are as elaborate as ever. Made with housemade tinctures, ferments, and vinegars—think beet acid, kimchi pepper, and miso agave—the cocktails are sometimes brewed tableside, topped with caviar, or unlocked with a secret password. There’s a short food menu, too, with Korean fried chicken with peanut sauce, or wagyu and shrimp in a savory hot custard. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Brooke Viggiano
