"For our money, there isn’t a better all-around taco-eating experience in Hermosa Beach than the sampler platter at Guisados. It comes with a plate of mini tacos that lets you try six versions in one go, and from spicy chicken tinga to mole poblano. Each of their palm-sized corn tortillas is made fresh, all the meat is juicy, and the sampler only costs $12. Guisados also opens at 9am daily, so you can also drop by for a breakfast burrito or chorizo and potato tacos before a morning waterfront stroll. This order-at-the-counter spot has a lot out front with ample free parking (a rare commodity in these parts), so you won’t have to stress about zig-zagging through the tourist crowds near Hermosa Pier to eat here." - Nikko Duren
