"Little Sushi Bar is, in fact, a cute little sushi bar, and a great option for a casual Friday night date when you forgot to make a reservation. The Richmond spot has what you’d expect from a reliable neighborhood sushi spot, like nigiri, donburi, and special rolls, all of which you should focus on any time you wander in after a stroll down Clement with someone you like. We usually split the Gundam roll with a slightly sweet crunch thanks to the sliced raw white onions, and the Toro Toro, which gets the torch treatment for a nice smoky sear. Come here if you’re in the market for a new neighborhood fish plug, or when Pearl 6101 across the street quotes you an hour wait. Food Rundown Toro Toro The combination of negi toro and salty-fatty salmon toro makes this a flat-out luxurious roll. Get it on your table. Gundam If you’re going hard on donburi or heavier entrees, round out the order with this. It’s one of the lighter rolls on the menu, since it’s not baked or drenched in sauce—the sliced white onions and scallions give each bite a double whammy of zippy crunch. Sushi Dinner For $27, this is one of the best sushi deals in the city. Get a solid lineup of five pre-selected nigiri, your choice of a spicy tuna or California roll, miso soup, and a bowl of house salad. A balanced meal in our book." - Julia Chen
