"Café Vins does lots of things, but what you need to know is that the coffee is very good and it’s conveniently located to duck out of Carnaby Street for a restorative half-hour. No more than that, though, because the wooden benches at this gallery-like concept cafe are cool but not very comfortable. Not quite a fully-fledged bookshop, nor a proper cafe (it’s tiny), and one solitary rack of clothes does not a boutique make. Instead this hideout caters to the very specific set of circumstances of needing a flat white, a manga magazine, and an expensive wool turtleneck all at the same time. It’s a bit silly. But the ultra-smooth lattes are very good." - Sinéad Cranna
