"Hitting this husband-and-wife-owned winery in Ellijay is a must, especially for the views. The sprawling vineyard is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains—a scene so unreal you think you’re in the Sound Of Music. But spare us all the spontaneous musical number, and (quietly) take it all in from their massive patio while you swirl a glass full of fruity red zinfandel. Like all the wine selections here, that zinfandel is a blend made with their estate grapes and other U.S. vineyards. We also like the sultry port that’s tempting enough to end your winery day early if you haven’t mastered the art of sipping yet.
