"The maritozzo at Sant’ Eustachio is different (and smaller) than the others you find around town. These aren’t made using brioche dough. Rather, the pastry component is similarly to a crusty loaf, still filled with freshly whipped cream. They’re still very easily devourable, though. Having one at the bar with a macchiato and a tiny cup of sparkling water is a top-tier Italian breakfast experience." - carlo mantuano, annie replogle
