"Cobble Hill’s BigNorm is actually pretty tiny. The takeout Korean spot on Smith Street has two stools inside for a quick bite, but most people get takeout. The menu is divided into “small eats,” like some decent pan-fried pork mandu, and “big eats,” like bibimbap, plus Korean hot teas and sparkling beverages. For a solo mission, we recommend the kimchi jigae, which has tofu so soft you won’t even have to think about chewing, and a slightly spicy broth that will stain whatever you're wearing with small flecks of red. (The mark of a good time.) Come here for solid, comforting Korean dishes to ease whatever physical or emotional ailment you're up against on a random Tuesday night. photo credit: Kate Previte" - Willa Moore
