"Aroqa is a modern Indian restaurant in Chelsea where your server might light your food on fire and your cocktail might come with smoking dry ice. It’s a little gimmicky, but the food is actually pretty good, and there are lots of small things that you can share. Try a stuffed flatbread or some pork dumplings, or go for the “chicken chops” if you like your food to be (briefly) in flames. The space itself is just one long, gold-and-black room with a bar area up front, and it feels a little bit upscale. Although you can still wear whatever you want here, and you don’t necessarily need to spend a lot of money. So if you live in Chelsea, this place could come in handy the next time you need to go out with someone who might appreciate a smoking cocktail and some on-fire chicken." - Bryan Kim
