John's Roast Pork

Sandwich shop · Riverfront

"If there was a Philly bingo board for first-time visitors, eating a roast pork sandwich from John’s would have to be on it. (Probably between watching a Betsy Ross impersonator hold a flag and running the Rocky steps.) The counter service spot has served more or less the same limited menu of cheesesteaks and roast porks with drippy, melted provolone and garlicky broccoli rabe since 1930. It's still busy from morning to night. And the sandwiches are still great." - alison kessler, candis mclean
