"Here’s how things work at Andy’s, Anderson.Paak’s 70s-themed clubstaurant/live music venue in West Hollywood: Starting at 5pm, reservations are available at tables in the dining room. Around 9pm, a live band might show up. But at 9:30pm, the kitchen closes, and shortly afterward, the tables are cleared and reserved for bottle service. Got all that? It’s a wonky timeline, so here’s how to best use this place. Skip the food situation altogether. The menu is just a handful of clubby snacks like crispy calamari and chicken tenders and middling cocktails anyway. There are no entrees. If you show up hungry, you’ll leave hungry—and potentially frustrated that your reservation doesn’t cover the time when the bands are playing. Instead, come after 9:30pm and use Andy’s for what it is: a really good live music venue. Despite the tables being set aside for bottle service, walk-ins are encouraged (with no cover charge) and everybody crowds around the rectangular bar and watches whoever is on.
