"If you live in Park Slope and haven’t heard of Un Posto Italiano before, it’s probably because your neighbor is trying to keep it a secret. The Italian cafe and grocery store has a no-laptop policy Friday through Sunday, and the seating area in the back—and the backyard if it’s nice out—is always full of Park Slope parents splitting intricately layered sfogliatelle and drinking beautiful Italian espresso. As far as the menu goes, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Un Posto Italiano also makes its own pasta, which you can call ahead to order. (You can also order in person, just be prepared to wait.) The options change weekly from things like gnocchi verdi to hand-cut spaghetti. Pick up a pound, plus some sun-dried tomatoes imported from Italy, and then go home and make a dinner so good your kitchen barely recognizes it. photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Willa Moore Pause Unmute" - Willa Moore
