"A panuozzo is sort of like a giant sandwich made with pizza dough, and San Matteo is one of the few places in NYC where you can get one. This place also does about 25 different kinds of pizza (and we tend prefer those), and they also have pasta, calzones, and small plates - which makes this a pretty solid neighborhood Italian option. The space is large, with brick walls and plenty of windows, and it’s perfect for a casual dinner with some friends or a few children that you’re responsible for feeding. Start with some antipasti, move on to the pizza, and order a bottle of wine if you don’t have anywhere to be in the morning." - Bryan Kim
