"Montrose is a glowing, old 19th-century inn that will lure you in. Part of it may be the flickering candlelight. Or perhaps it will be a spectacular oyster with strawberry hot sauce. Before you know it, you’ll have been seduced with a kumquat martini. At least that was the case for us. Split between two floors—a downstairs wine bar and a Goop-feeling restaurant upstairs—Montrose is one of the most beautiful and exciting restaurants in Edinburgh." - Jake Missing
