A Mano - Review - Old Fourth Ward - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"A Mano, an Italian restaurant in a quiet residential stretch of Old Fourth Ward, hits the sweet spot between semi-polished date night and low-key neighborhood hangout. String lights draped inside set the low-pressure mood—perfect for when your flirt game is still buffering, or a friend hangout where volume control drops with every pour. Servers weave through a packed dining room with steaming plates of rich Pesto E Pomodoro, creating an atmosphere that’s lively but not chaotic. And Downstairs, there’s a small covered patio with gravel floors and bench seating that feels secluded and cozy, even when it’s full. photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair Pause Unmute Since A Mano means “by hand,” the pastas here are, of course, housemade. The menu also changes seasonally. But when you see the Bucatini Alla Bolgonese, get it. The thick, chewy noodles are wrapped in a meaty ragu and topped with rich ricotta—and it will atone up for any hurdles you had finding parking. Food Rundown Eggplant Parmesan You get three hefty slices of eggplant with a crisp, herby crust and a soft center, blanketed in red sauce and finely grated parmesan. A standout—get it. photo credit: Amy Sinclair Fig Salad Crunchy greens, walnuts, and a fig-sweet balance under a light, creamy vinaigrette. Simple but great. photo credit: Amy Sinclair Pesto E Pomodoro Rigatoni is tossed in a sundried tomato pesto sauce, with asparagus, tomatoes, tender rapini, tangy feta, and fennel fronds. It's nutty, cheesy, and earthy all at the same time. This is a solid move. photo credit: Amy Sinclair Bucatini Alla Bolognese Thick bucatini cuddle in a meaty beef ragu, topped with a scoop of smooth ricotta. Rich, cozy, and exactly what you want it to be. PlayMute Charred Cabbage Charred and piled high with romesco, olive relish, and toasted almonds—it’s technically a vegetable side, but with all that’s going on, it’s more like an overachieving salad. photo credit: Amy Sinclair Chocolate Torte You get a dense slice of chocolate cake with espresso caramel, whipped cream, and powdered espresso sugar. Not too sweet, not too heavy—Goldilocks-style, just right. photo credit: Amy Sinclair" - Jacinta Howard
