Mezza Grille - Review - Galleria - Houston - The Infatuation
"Mezza Grille functions as a jack-of-all-trades restaurant, if those trades were niche dining dilemmas. This giant Mediterranean restaurant, crammed into the long Westheimer past the Galleria corridor of strip centers, has the menu diversity of a chain fast-casual restaurant. Think of Mezza like a corporate break room or a mediator’s office that happens to serve great cajun shrimp pasta. Come here if you want to grab Happy Hour near the Galleria with four friends who want four different cuisines, or you want a quasi-anonymous place to meet your dad’s new girlfriend, or your kid wants a cheeseburger and you’re craving kebabs. Mezza Grille may not be anyone’s favorite restaurant in Houston or even by the Galleria. Still, it does serve generally good food and has some drink specials that could come in useful for when the woman you just met starts calling herself your stepmom." - Chelsea Thomas
