"“This is a no bullshit neighbourhood wine bar. Hector's is incredibly small, a matchbox. You've got to make sure you turn up early to get a seat, [and] it’s nice in the summer to sit outside. Hector’s is very friendly and accessibly priced. And it has no ‘vibe checks’ that some of these new-wave wine bars have, where they infantilise their customers. At Hector’s you can get really good natural wines and very good classic wines. There's no pretension. Food-wise, it hasn't got a kitchen but you can get crisps covered in serrano ham and tinned fish.”" - brennan carley
