Jowong

Korean restaurant · Lomas de Chapultepec

"Jowong falls in line with Mexico City’s new wave of scene-y Korean restaurants, like Dooriban, and this one serves excellent gimpab, tteok-bokki, and galibi in a relaxed setting. This spot is tucked on a quiet street in Condesa, and is cozy with low ceilings and wooden tables with tiny bud vases. Start with some classic banchan like pickled eggplant and myeolchi with potatoes, before moving on to their MVP—creamy kimchi carbonara pasta, loaded with parmesan, egg, and bacon. Another reason we keep coming back: friendly and attentive service that isn’t too overbearing, mellow music for added chill, and hotteok (pancakes) topped with butter ice cream that’s as delicious as it is fodder for your feed. " - guillaume guevara
