"Close to Notting Hill Gate station, Mawi Cafe is the kind of order-shouting, plate-clattering, milk-steaming spot that makes loud work calls an option. There are plug sockets and a big shared table—an irresistible combination for the laptop-workers who decamp here, making the most of the strong wifi and relaxed service. But there are also students chatting Othello and couples sipping hot chocolates while flicking through newspapers.
