"La Fama is a Wynwood Cuban classic that should be protected at all costs. The place is packed every day for lunch with folks eating seared palomillas and yuca drenched in garlicky mojo. Construction workers bump elbows at the crowded counter every time they take a bite of pan con bistec. If the counter is full, there’s a separate door that leads to a small room with a handful of tables where you can spread out. And you’ll need the space if you order an entree because each one comes with two giant sides. Prices will make you do a double take. That palomilla is just $13.85, and the pan con bistec is $8.30.
