"Like that friend who started wearing low-cut jeans before everyone else (and actually manages to pull them off), Barra does the modern European, seasonal small plates thing with effortless ease. Inconspicuously located on a residential street in Neukölln, a meal at this brick-walled spot is best enjoyed at the kitchenside counter, with a glass of natural wine and a view of the chefs doing their thing. And by thing, we mean covering oysters in seaweed jelly, shaving sheep’s cheese onto raw courgette, and spooning the most delicious wild garlic foam and egg yolk onto chanterelle mushrooms.
