"If beauty were the only quality needed to run a good outdoor bar, then Verde Garden would have the market cornered. This Montrose bar and restaurant has a sprawling patio, a drinks menu with 12 types of margaritas and 80+ different cocktails, and table service available inside and out. But the Tex-Mex food, like mini tacos perched on stale corn tortillas with too-acidic elote, is underwhelming. And while the drinks are strong, their lack of balance makes them hard to enjoy. No amount of beauty could make up for the fact that the food and margaritas are just OK. But if lounging on a gorgeous patio is the highest of your priorities, Verde Garden fits the bill." - Gianni Greene
