"We once shared 20 paletas between three people and two toddlers at La Michoacanita on Nagle Ave. Granted, it was after a particularly hot afternoon of visiting the nearby Cloisters and Fort Tryon, but the Mexican pops at this neon-pink shop are so refreshing, they’d be hard to stop eating even during February. Pick a slightly sticky table to settle down at for a drippy feast of bar after bar of juicy or milky fruit-laden ice: at least four different versions of mango, pink guava juice with hard, toothsome chunks of yellow guava, soft watermelon, bright kiwi-strawberry and so much more. The water pops are $2.50, while the milk ones are $3.25. photo credit: Kate Previte photo credit: Kate Previte photo credit: Kate Previte photo credit: Kate Previte Pause Unmute" - Sonal Shah
