Yi Ji Shi Mo - Review - Chinatown - New York - The Infatuation

"Yi Ji Shi Mo is a tiny takeout spot on Elizabeth Street where you can get one of the top sub-$10 meals in NYC. This place specializes in rice rolls, which are made in massive sheets right behind the counter. The rice rolls (starting around $3) are thin and delicate, and they arrive steaming hot, stuffed with your choice of ingredients. Be sure to order the signature version with shrimp, pork, and fresh cilantro, which heightens all the flavors like an exclamation point. There isn’t any seating here, but don’t wait until you get home to eat your food. Crack open your takeout container as soon as you hit the sidewalk. photo credit: Bryan Kim" - Bryan Kim
