"If Giada de Laurentiis and Goop Kitchen teamed up for a culinary venture, the outcome would be Foodshed. Off the highway, on a street you might miss, you’ll find a casual, takeout-focused Italian counter pumping out square-shaped pizza slices with potatoes and prosciutto, sauced-up meatball sandwiches, and one of the best slices of carrot cake in the valley. It’s dangerously easy to fill an entire trunk with everything you need (including wine) for a five-course dinner party or an upscale picnic in the park in under 10 minutes. Everything is pre-prepared and ready to eat (or reheat), but there’s plenty of space inside the rustic building if you want to stick around. We like to grab a patio table outside and share a farro salad and frittata sandwich, if they haven’t sold out for the day." - christina julian, jasmine alexandra
