"Kimika opened in the bottom of the Nolitan hotel in the summer of 2020, and eating here is a reminder that nights out can still feel exciting. Kimika falls into the category of Cool Downtown Restaurant To Be Cool At. This place is from the team behind another trendy spot on the Lower East Side called Wayla. But unlike others that fall in the CDRTBCA category, both Wayla and Kimika have real substance, and serve inventive, delicious food. Practically all of the Italian-Japanese inspired dishes and drinks we tried during my Kimika meal would be worth ordering again, especially the chamomile Negroni and the wonton-like pizzette covered in onion jam and silky prosciutto. Come here if you’re looking to impress someone who will surely appreciate a sake martini and rice cake lasagna, as long as you’re prepared to spend upwards of $50 per person. Kimika is currently offering dinner and weekend brunch for outdoor dining and indoor dining. In case you’d rather eat delicious pizzettes at home, you can always order takeout or delivery online." - Hannah Albertine
