"Carolina Tamales is a bright pink Mexican spot in Bellflower known for Sinaloa-style tamales. After trying a few, we’ve found them to be a little too wet in the center, but there’s still plenty to love on Carolina’s breakfast menu. Mornings here entail cheesy, lard-infused frijoles puercos that you smear onto freshly made corn tortillas. There are salty machaca egg scrambles designed to be doused in salsa roja, and you can ask for a side of macaroni salad if that’s your idea of a balanced breakfast.
