But overall, most of the handhelds are decent, like Marc’s Mash Up with just the right amount of well-seasoned chicken, crisp tomatoes, and creamy avocado. Most folks grab and go, but there are a dozen stools—mostly overlooking Half St.—where you can enjoy knishes and bagels, too. This is a particularly welcome addition for Nats fans looking for a last-minute bite to bring into the stadium and avoid paying twice as much for a meal that’s half as good. Food Rundown Marc’s Mash Up This chicken sandwich is our go-to here. It’s a lighter bite that feels like a complete, balanced dish with the tomato and avocado alongside the chicken. And it’s a little less messy (though still not put together well), so it’s best for grab-and-go, whether you’re taking it home or to the game. Papa Eddie's The brisket is juicy and the horseradish has a good spice. But the sandwich is heavy, and there’s nothing to cut the denseness of it, which makes it hard to eat. And it’s sloppily made—the horseradish is all on one side of the bun, the provolone isn’t spread out, and the brisket doesn’t fill the soft hoagie roll.
